Parking Lot Fundraising
Our faith is strong but our parking lot is crumbling Last Spring it took 3 dump truck loads to clean up the dirt and crumbled pavement. We have large puddles form due to poor drainage and now there is grass growing where it shouldn't. Each winter the plowing digs up more of the crumbling pavement. It doesn't make sense to put money into sealing and striping when it is in such poor shape.
According to church records the parking lot was extended for the Parish Hall in 1956. It has been maintained with crack and surface sealing as well as striping since then. It is time to do the work that needs to be done. The estimates to do this work are at $100,000.00.
So many people depend on this parking lot being safe. It is used for church services and activities, the Food Pantry, scouts, community groups and other meetings. It needs to be clear where to park and the surface needs to be clear for walking safety.
We are pleased to already have $4500.00 contributed to the fund. The continuous giving is from our church family, the outside community and a business. We want to raise the funds in three years. God's Promise to us is that he will multiply all that we give. We gratefully accept any and all donations.
