Parking Lot Fund
Goal: $100,000 (to be accomplished in 3 Years)
We are starting a fund to redo the church parking lot. It is in much disrepair. Each year it is getting worse. It needs to be dug up, drained properly, repaved and relined.
Many people use the lot daily. All church members and friends park here as well as others who use the lot including the Food Pantry recipients, nursery school people, the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and the Fire and Police Departments. People park to walk their dogs or to meet others for meetings or ride share. Bikers and road race participants use the parking lot frequently. All ministries and church activities also require the use of our parking lot on a daily basis. So you can see that this piece of our property is well used but has not been well maintained and is therefore in need of our attention as a parishioner of the First Congregational Church and as a community member.
We understand that the old pavement has to be dug out completely and a new drainage system has to be put in place for water flow before it is newly paved and relined for parking spaces. We are suggesting a three year funding period for this endeavor.
How are we going to raise this money?
This can be done by the solicitation of members and friends of our church, and by the people in this community, and others who use our facilities, and possibly by grants.
“God can supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory.” Philippians 4:19
“God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ever ask or think in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 3:20
